How time zone conversion works
Each time zone has an offset from UTC, and many shift by an hour for daylight saving time. This converter uses your browser's built-in time zone data, so it applies daylight saving automatically for the date you enter.
For example, 9:00 AM in New York is 2:00 PM in London for most of the year. The gap shrinks to 4 hours for a few weeks in spring and autumn, when the US and UK change their clocks on different dates.
