Quick answer: subtract your birth year from the current year. If your birthday has not happened yet this year, subtract one more.
Age by birth year
Each row shows two ages, because the answer depends on whether you have had your birthday yet this year.

How to use the chart
Find your birth year and pick the older age if your birthday has already passed this year, or the younger one if it has not. For years that are not shown, count from the nearest row.
Want your exact age?
The chart gives whole years only. The age calculator gives your age in years, months and days, and the birthday calculator also shows the weekday you were born, your generation and your zodiac sign.
How old will I be in a given year?
Subtract your birth year from that year. Someone born in 1990 will be 40 in 2030, or 39 if their birthday falls later in the year. The same rule works for milestone birthdays, retirement dates and anniversary planning.
Generations at a glance
Using the Pew Research Center's ranges, Millennials were born between 1981 and 1996, Generation Z between 1997 and 2012, and Generation Alpha from 2013. Other sources draw the lines slightly differently.
